3rd Annual Chasing Daylight Tour – Coming to Seattle and Portland

The Tour is an awe inspiring 8 day bike ride covering over 650 miles of breathtaking American scenery. This year’s National Tour will take place in September and travel through Washington and Oregon, starting in Vancouver, Canada and finishing in Portland.

Since we will be traveling through your region we are inviting all interested KPMG cyclists in the North West to join the ride. You can participate for the entire 8 days or for as little as one. The ride will consist of 24 KPMG employees and we currently have 16 participating from around the US. 8 positions are currently being reserved for NW participation.

You don’t have to be in the ranks of a Lance Armstrong to participate or even understand what a peleton is…this is not a race. What we are looking for are fun loving cyclists that have a great sense of adventure and want to support a worthy cause; the American Cancer Society.

The Chasing Daylight Tour raises awareness and funds in support of the American Cancer Society in the Memory of Eugene O’Kelly. Eugene (Gene) O'Kelly was the US Chairman of KPMG, LLP in the fall of 2005 when his life was cut short by brain cancer. Gene was an inspiration to our Firm and his community. In his final days, Gene wrote a book entitled "Chasing Daylight" which reflects on his life lessons.

Last year’s Chasing Daylight Tour through the North East was a huge success. The team of riders raised over $30,000 and experienced an adventure of a lifetime. We now want to take this ride to your area.
